It has begun, the Nexus 7 in the 8GB storage option is now unavailable in the Google Play Store. There’s a few rumors going around that device will be replaced by the 16GB version. If that does happen the 16GB will retail for $199, the 32GB is expected to take over the $249 price point but what’s more interesting would be the return of the 8GB option. It’s said that this version could return to the Play Store for just $149 or even $99. If either of those does happen I can’t see many people passing up this device at that price point. Google has taken a light jab to the body from Apple today with the announcement of the iPad Mini and it looks like the search giant is ready to respond with powerful hook to the jaw for the knockout.
