Android growth in the US is continuing on it trend upward. Our favorite mobile OS has gained market share in the US yet again. It now accounts for over half of the smartphones sold here in the states. With the release of the hottest Android device of the year, the Samsung Galaxy S III, these figures will surely reflect more favorably towards Android in the next results. Apple is still number two in the US and with all their patent nonsense they’ve shown us they have nothing special to show out of the next iPhone and will continue to their rightful place right behind Android. WP8 could eat into their market share once it’s released.
