Yet another market share study has been released and guess who’s still number one? Android takes the top spot for worldwide market share in smartphone yet again this time taking a dominating 68% of the market share in Q3. With the release of the iPhone 5, things could change a few percentage points but I wouldn’t expect them to fall that much since the iPhone 5 is just a longer version of the same handset that’s been around for 6 years now. Android manufacturers have a lot more firepower to release in Q4 and its almost Nexus season. If the rumors are true and there 5 or more Nexus devices released, it could be a good season for Android.
