If you’re a frequent flyer, soon you’ll be able to enjoy a few different Android powered entertainment units in the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner planes. The company will be outfitting 859 of these planes with either a Panasonic eX3 or the Thales TopSeries Avant. Specs for the Panasonic device are unknown but the Avant will feature a dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Both units will be available to take advantage of inflight Wi-Fi and the Avant has a 3.8 inch Android powered companion device. The updated planes will updated in phases and it’s said the project will be completed in 5 to 10 years.
