Soon you won’t need to have your phone with you to learn more about your surroundings. According to New York Times, Google is planning on releasing HUD glasses powered by Android before the years end. These glasses will allow the user to take advantage of augmented reality without the need of the camera on their portable device.

An unnamed version of Android will come preloaded on the glasses and they will pack a few cellphone features. GPS, camera, motion sensor and a data connection will be built into the headset. Reportedly the glasses will retail between $250 and $600. These are going to have to be some really cool looking glasses to get me onboard. Is this something you guys are interested in?

The day isn’t even over yet and LG has announced its fourth Android handset of the day. This time around the Optimus 3D Cube gets official. This device is essentially the follow-up handset to the LG Optimus 3D. It features a 4.3 inch glasses-free 3D screen, 16GB of internal storage, 5MP cameras, NFC and its powered by a 1.2GHZ dual-core processor. We’re not too sure what’s all included in this update but we’re pretty sure it’s not ICS as the update is only 21MB in size.
