There are various ways to try it out, but the easiest has to be Hexxeh's builds
All you need is an sd card or usb stick to put the os on and this link (it has all the instructions you need) and it's an easy process

let us know how it goes if you try it out!

It looks okay, maybe I'll play with it some this weekend, but I think I like the look of Ubuntu Netbook Edition (remix) better. Of course I am not yet sold on UNE's new Unity interface, so maybe I'll switch to this. I also can't wait to see what Canonical (Ubuntu) is cooking up for tablet and touchscreen computers...

I actually run une on my netbook, I found everything that made it a remix/netbook edition annoying, luckily it has the ability to just use gnome so that it looks just like Ubuntu desktop edition.

ChromeOS Is a different beast altogether :)
But definitely worth trying out IMO, just remember it's primarily for internet.

Definitely going to try out ChromeOS again. I tried it in the early stages when no hardware was supported and people had to do hacks to get it to even boot properly in a VM :( was a hassle...

I will need to find a USB somewhere and try this. Either that or boot the VM.

Since the Chromebooks will be out in less than a month I'm going to start posting all sorts of Chrome stuff here. I might even expand this forum into more topics.
