Its basically for cloud computing. If you have access to an internet connection at all times it is great because it makes it so it doesn't matter what workstation you are at or if the computer itself is destroyed.... it is all backed up on Google's servers. Now this is of course if you are ok with Google having all of your work, which I am not too ok with. I like having it all right there just for me to access and no need for internet if I don't need it.
