Backbreaker Football

Price: $2.99

Backbreaker Football by Natural Motion Games is that perfect Android game for the NFL Season. It's fun, addicting, and has some intense arcade style football action.
It's full 3D graphics and accelerometer controls make this game fun and engaging. The very well done Physx and realistic tackling makes this a step above many games. Obviously the object is to juke out, or spin past the defenders and reach the End Zone. Gameplay is controlled by tilting the phone forward to run, and then left or right for a full range of motion. the On-Screen Controls are on both sides of the screen for Juke Left/Right, & Spin Left/Right. You also have a Turbo button that is the lightning bolt to fly past defenders. There is a "Showboat" or taunting button that will appear once you've past all the defenders, but it does slow you down. Get greedy with the extra points from showboating and they will catch up and tackle you. There is many ways to gain those extra points weather it's showboating as you score, or running through colored boxes of extra points. Misses and near misses, as well as total time. Those all making it harder and slower for you to get down to the other end of the field. Be quick or you might just get close-lined.

Overall it has a wonderful feel to it. Backbreaker Football really shows what Gaming on Android can and will be, as well as what level some of the better handsets can handle. (Description does mention it's for Higher Spec'd phones, Not early devices like the G1 or Hero.) With great Visuals and well done On-Screen Controls this is a game you'll want to play all season long when you're out and around or just bored at home. Oh and you can even customize your player and wear your lucky number or favorite teams jersey color. :p

Pros & Cons:

Pros
- Great 3D Graphics
- Addictive
- 2 Game Types, 80 Waves, and 8 Challenges
- FroYo App2SD Support
- And did I mention INSTANT REPLAY!

Cons
- It's Not Madden (Don't expect it either)
- No Multi-Touch Support
- Can get repetitive at times

Conclusion: In the end this is a fun and realistic Football arcade game. Great for wasting time or while sitting around during half-time. Even though it can be repetitive for some it is a must for any and all Football Fans.
Is the $2.99 Price Tag worth it. YES!
