Hey guys. Not sure if you all heard. But the Viewsonic G-Tablet with Nvidia Tegra 2 Dual Core, yes Dual Core 1 GHz processor, 16GB internal storage, 512 ram, front camera, all the bells n whistles was released today at Sears across the US. I got one. Here is a terrible Unboxing I did with my Nexusone Phone and 1 hand, so sorry for the quality. This is an incredible device for only $379. So basically $29 more than the 16GB Archos 101 yet it's got a Dual Core Processor, no flash on the Front Camera, and no kickstand. but that CPU is a beast. 10-12 Hours Battery life expected with regular use, 8 With 720p output, and 7 Hours doing 1080 out with the 30 Pin dock to HDMI on the bottom. More to come very soon.

Great device with tons of potential. I'm sure DJ will post more. And I'll do a full review soon. Very soon. Video upload from phone was slow. Video will be up in 5 or so guys!

Here's another unboxing. No market, no flash support and crappy wifi = fail.

That guy is in the minority as far as the wi-fi problem goes. No market and flash, especially since flash is advertised on the box, does suck. But we all know the market issue will be fixed by a hack and since its rooted and adb works already, i wouldnt be surprised to see CM or another custom ROM ported to it soon. They already have the system image and is pulling out the tap and tap ui as we speak. I'm seriously considering this one, it has better specs than the Galaxy Tab and the archos 101 has been pushed back til the end of the month and might not even get released here.

I want a tablet but I don't want to jump and be disappointed, I'm going to wait until atleast Christmas and see what falls. I already have the hack to get the market on the Archos 101. I just don't want to settle.

I know Samsung and Lenova are both working on honeycomb tablets right now, probably many more.

Motorola has one too, I might get that one. Off topic:
We'll be launching our Facebook page around that time too, might be a special treat in store for our readers.

I did not watch your video but I have no wifi problems.. it did have a hicup once or twice, but overall its working and it starts when I reboot, wake up so I'm happy.. I have a video I'll post soon showing this.

the demos we saw online in september flash working very well, something in the tapUI must have caused an issue but I'm sure it will be resolved. the user interface is actually kind of nice but it can be sluggish. they rushed it out but I'm sure it will be improved.. I'm working on root tonight. it may not have market yet but that doesn't mean its a fail. this tablet still has the most potential
