Google Maps has been updated and now includes a new future, Walking Navigation. Just keep in mind folks, look up while you use this. Walking Navigation uses your phones GPS to figure out the best pedestrian paths to take while you’re out. This feature can be used without voice guidance, it vibrates when it’s time for you to make a turn. And as you turn, the map will rotate with you.

There’s also a new feature called Streeview Smart Navigation. This feature gives you a look into the future, kind of. You can plan out your path and move the pegman along the path to see what route you’ll be taking before you take it. Google Maps can run on any Android device that runs Android 1.6 and up. It’s a free app and is available now in the Android Market.
