If you’re a Google Wallet user you may have just received a message from Google. It looks like the search giant will be ending support for their own prepaid card in Google Wallet. On September 17th you’ll no longer have the ability to add funds to the card and on October 17th you will not be able to use it at all. If you have funds available on the card after then, you can request a refund. Check out the full communication email after the break and be prepared to add your own card if you would like to continue using Google Wallet.
Thank you for being one of the first users of the Google Wallet app and for activating your Google Prepaid Card. Since we recently launched the ability to use any debit or credit card in Google Wallet,we are going to discontinue the Google Prepaid Card soon.
