Everything seems to be falling right in place for the release of Google TV. Logitech’s set top box has just cleared the FCC setting the ground work for its release this fall. Not only has it passed with FCC’s approval we now know a bit more information about the system.
For starters, it will come preinstalled with Android 2.1, Google Chrome Browser 5.0 and full Flash 10.1 support. It also has a 2 GHz Intel Atom processor, 2 HDMI jacks, 4 GB of memory and a gigabyte motherboard. There’s also built in Wi-Fi, 2 USB 2.0 slots, Ethernet, optical audio out and S-Video.
This little box is really packed with awesome features. It should be a great compliment to any modern television. For best results, hook it up to an HD TV and enjoy. It will surely support HD video and there is no word on if and when it will be upgraded to Android 2.2 or even Gingerbread.
