This isn’t directly Android related, yet, but with more and more dual camera Android phones being released, we can expect free video calls soon. You can now make calls directly from your Gmail account. All you need is a computer with a microphone and speakers. Calls in the US and Canada are free and calls to the U.K., France, Germany, China, Japan—and many more countries—for as little as $0.02 per minute.
If you have a Google Voice phone number, your calls from your Gmail will use that number. Over the next few days, this service will be rolled out to more users. It’s currently being tested in other international markets.
