Our Android phones can do more than just keep you in contact with your loved ones and friends. Media consumption and web browsing are being used more and more from our mobile devices and it looks like NFC and bill paying re taking off as well. In a report from NPD, Android users are now using their device more to pay for goods. According to the study, 35% of Android users are using their device pay everything from utilities to purchase gas, movie tickets and more. This is up from only 8% in August.

PayPal surprisingly is the most used app to pay for things on Android device. NFC purchases come in second as user are now getting more comfortable in using their device to make important purchases. With the latest announcement from MasterCard and more and more NFC enabled device hitting the market, Google Wallet use will surely gain more traction. How often do you purchase items from your device?
