I’d expect the Nook Color to account for a huge chunk of this figure. Barnes & Noble’s Nook now accounts for 25% of the eBook share. This figure is even larger than what their physical store account for.
William Lynch, Barnes & Noble’s CEO. “We now represent 25 percent of the e-book market in the U.S., larger than our share in physical books. We sell twice as many e-books as all formats of physical books combined on BN.com.”
This figure is a huge accomplishment but when compared to the number one shareholder it’s dwarfed in comparison. Amazon current holds between 70-80 percent of the digital content market share. An update that will bring the official market as well as other enhancements are expected soon for the Nook Color.
