Images of the Oppo Find 5 Mini have been leaked. If this device is real it should be one heck of a device. It’s said that it features a 3.7 inch display with 720p resolution. If that is the case, I know a lot of people that has been waiting for a device of this size. And the pixel density would be close to 400ppi which should look awesome as far sharp images and texts go. Oppo could also plop a quad-core processor in the device. If these rumors come true, Oppo could have the best Mini device yet. Read the rest of this entry »

We’ve never heard of the cellphone manufacturer Brand but we have heard of NVIDIA. It looks like the two companies will be teaming up to bring us a Tegra 4i powered device. Brand says the Android handset will be released next year in Q1 and will ship in storage option between 8, 16 and 32GB. It will cost just $300-$400 off contract and it features a 4.8 inch 720p display and a 13MP camera. Those are some pretty respectable specs out of an affordable device. We’ll keep an eye out to see if this device actually makes it through production and onto the market for us to buy.

It’s been rumored that Google would acquire Waze and it looks like a deal has been reached. Waze is powered by a community of real-life drivers who updates the current driving conditions so you can find better route to get to your destination if you need too. Google will be looking to integrate this feature in Google Maps and maybe a few other others as well. Waze is an amazing app and once its features comes to Google Maps it’s going to make Maps even better than it already is and help Google further its lead over other companies in the mobile Maps world. Verizon FiOS Mobile has just landed in the Google Play Store and it has some nice features. Not only can you manage your DVR but you can stream live TV right to your Android device. There are 75 live channels to choose from and you need to be running an Android 2.3.3 and up device to download the app. Verizon also requires that you have FiOS TV and internet services. There have been some complaints about streaming video so make sure you have a reliable connection before taking this app out for a test drive. Read the rest of this entry »

Probably the best feature of Paranoid Android’s version of Android has just been open sourced. Its Halo multitasking will soon start to show up on more custom ROM’s. This feature is kind of a cross between Samsung’s multi-window and Facebook Home’s Chat Heads. When you receive a notification you can reply in a popup box while the app you were using continues to run in the background. Over the past few days there have been a few images of what is said to be the Galaxy Note 3 leak on the web. The device looks similar to the Galaxy Mega 6.3 but there’s a strong chance it is indeed the Galaxy Note 3. Most likely its juts some sort of prototype of the upcoming note taking device but that’s yet to be seen. More images will surely leak of this device in the coming days. If you’re one of those people who were upset over the remaining free storage on the Samsung Galaxy S 4 16 GB model, Samsung might have a fix. The latest update adds the ability to move apps to the SD. All you have to do after the update is check the box and you’re all set. We heard that Acer and other companies would be looking to bring Android to PC’s and now we have our first look at a live prototype. Acer brought this 21 inch All-in-one desktop PC to Computex. Its powered by a 1.6 quad-core Tegra 3 processor, has a 1080p display and it runs Android 4.2.2. We’re not sure if the device that will make its way onto the market will share the same specs. It’s rumored that this device would cost just $400 so it’s possible. I for one hope a more powerful processor make its way into the device.

Today Sprint announced a new entry-level device. The LG Optimus F3 is official for Sprint and it will cost you just $29 with a new 2 year contract. The handset also features NFC, 4 inch display, 5MP camera and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. If you’re not into the huge high-end devices, this might be worth a look.
