AT&T is the latest carrier to push out the Android 4.3 update for the Samsung Galaxy S 4. The update just like the ones before it, adds Galaxy Gear smart watch support. Make sure you’re running a stock device to safely update since this is a stock OTA. You’ll also need to be sure your device has enough battery. The update clocks in at nearly 720MB in size so it might take while to complete. If you haven’t received the update yet you can check for it in the settings menu or try rebooting the device. If you’ve ever wanted to try a custom ROM but didn’t know where to begin, the CM team is making it easier to get their version of Android on your device. The CyanogenMod Installer is now available in the Google Play Store. This app coupled with the desktop companion and a Windows PC will allow you to easily get started with the latest from CyanogenMod. Todays a big day for Nexus tablet owners. Android 4.4 KitKat is now available for the devices. Both versions of the Nexus 7 are receiving the update as well as the Nexus 10. Nexus 4 owners will have to wait a bit longer as the update isn’t ready just yet. EVGA and NVIDIA just officially announced the Tegra Note 7. The 7 inch tablet features a stylus and it’s powered by the Tegra 4 processor. There’s also 1GB of RAM, 5MP rear camera and it runs stock Android. You can place your preorder for the tablet now and ships November 19th for just $199. If you’ve drooled over Google Glass and weren’t lucky enough to get an invite yet, you’re in luck. Google has just opened up the Glass Explorer program for the general public. You can’t exactly head over to Google and pick them up, there’s a signup page that you can add your name too and get in line for an invite. When a spot does open up you’ll need to plop down $1500 to get your hands on Glass. The program just started, it’ll be interesting to see how soon Google will contact these potential users. Pricing for the Moto G may have been uncovered by Amazon. The device made a quick appearance over at Amazon UK. From the page, the handset will be £159.99 for the 16GB unlocked SIM-free version. There’s a good chance that Google and Motorola will launch the device for under $300 off contract. From the looks of this, I wouldn’t be surprised if Motorola managed to release the device for under $200. Everything will be clear in a few days when the device is officially announced. Sony might have the best mini version of a smartphone launching soon. The Sony Xperia Z1s has been spotted on Sony’s website and soon we might get the opportunity to purchase the unlocked version. This version of the device features the same specs of the Z1 with the exception of a smaller 4.3 inch 720p display. It has a 2300mAh Battery and it’s powered by the Snapdragon 800 processor and a 20+MP camera. We have some slightly new developments for the successor of the HTC One. The device will unsparingly be released for all major carriers here in the US. Odds are, if the HTC One is available from a particular carrier, you can expect to see the new version there as well. AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile are all of course on the list.
