HTC just posted on Twitter that it’s delivered the Android 4.4 update to Google. That just means that the update is that much closer to being pushed out to our devices. Once Google certifies that everything’s ok, the update process will commence. The Nexus 4 update still hasn’t been sent out via OTA just yet and the HTC One Google Play Experience could receive the OTA before the 4. According to reports from AndroidPolice, the ASUS Transformer Pad TF701T will be receiving an update to Android 4.3. The update is scheduled for release on November 18th and a few improvements to the Tegra 4 powered slate will be included in the update as well. Improved responsiveness from the trackpad while using the keyboard dock, enhanced charging while docked and better battery life are all said to come along with the update. If ASUS can pull this off it’ll be a huge accomplishment. Google has just posted the binaries and factory images for the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10. These images can be used to restore your device to its factory state if you run into problems in development. On the other hand, if you have the know how you can use these images to update your device to the latest version of Android if you’re not interested in waiting for the OTA to hit your device. You can now purchase the Nexus 5 from T-Mobile. Magenta only carriers the 16GB version and it can be yours for $41.99 down and 24 payments of $17. That full price of the handset is $449 and this might be the best way for you to get your hands on the device now. The 16GB black version is sold out in the Google Play Store and the white version is 3-4 weeks out. The 32GB version ships at the end of this month and eBay or Craigslist is always a gamble. AT&T is the latest carrier to push out the Android 4.3 update for the Samsung Galaxy S 4. The update just like the ones before it, adds Galaxy Gear smart watch support. Make sure you’re running a stock device to safely update since this is a stock OTA. You’ll also need to be sure your device has enough battery. The update clocks in at nearly 720MB in size so it might take while to complete. If you haven’t received the update yet you can check for it in the settings menu or try rebooting the device. Todays a big day for Nexus tablet owners. Android 4.4 KitKat is now available for the devices. Both versions of the Nexus 7 are receiving the update as well as the Nexus 10. Nexus 4 owners will have to wait a bit longer as the update isn’t ready just yet.
