LG has just earned another feather in their hat for the LG Optimus 2X. The folks over at Guinness organization have just issued them a certificate, excuse me a “World-Record” for being the first dual-core device to be released in the world. There was even a ceremony where LG received an award for this accomplishment. The fifth ad in the Galaxy S II promotional series has just been released. This ad showcases the new screen, the Super AMOLED Plus. Sprint has finally decided to make it official. The Wi-Fi only Motorola Xoom will be making its way to Sprint on May 8th. The 10.1 inch Honeycomb slate will cost $599 just like the other Wi-Fi only Xoom’s. There’s no mention of a 4G model or if this model will receive an upgrade to 4G. Shazam just announced a deal with eBay that brings a few cool new features to the music identification app. You can now tag unlimited songs without upgrading to Shazam Pro for $4.99. The update brings Shazam to version 3.0 and it includes Shazam Friends for free. Verizon just alerted Engadget that their 4G network is back up and running. No explanation on the cause of the outage has been announced. VZW says their engineers found the issue and “quickly” resolved the problems. Now we’re waiting to find out if Droid Charge will be released today. So far, sales of device have been halted. Stay tuned for updates on this situation.

Majesty Fantasy Kingdom Sim is today’s free app from Amazon. This is a great strategy game with a surprisingly good soundtrack that you wouldn’t normally find on a game title for mobile devices. There are 10 types of heroes that you can fully customize, you can upgrade your buildings and there are 12 different monster types. Build up your kingdom and battle you’re way to the top. Yesterday we told you about HSUPA being enabled thanks to our mod community, if you’re not rooted and are looking for a more official fix, you’re in luck. Motorola is testing an official update that will enable HSUPA for users that are still running stock firmware. Email, Skype and the Happening Widget among other things will be improved as well. The Wi-Fi only HTC Flyer has just passed through the FCC. We should see this device in-store soon. It will retail for $499 and it features a 7 inch screen, Gingerbread tailor made for tablets and stylus support with a few apps built to utilize stylus inputs. Best Buy recently started accepting preorders for this device so it could be released real soon. You should be able to pick up this tablet with no problems when it’s released, I doubt there will be a shortage unless the supply is limited.
