New images of an unannounced Motorola phone have been leaked by EVLeaks on Twitter. The device looks like the Motorola handset we seen a few months back but this version is incased in some sort of protective shell. We’re not sure what this device is but the image below might give us some insight on the device. It says it’s the XFONE for AT&T. its running stock Android and that’s about all we can tell from the images.

It looks like the Optimus G2 from LG is coming to the US real soon. T-Mobile will be getting the device and it has been spotted in benchmark tests. A few details about the device were uncovered in the results. It will be powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 and Android 4.2.2. No pricing or release date hasn’t been announced but you T-Mobile will likely offer this device for $99 down payment and $20 a month for 24 months. It will be able to take advantage of T-Mobiles no contract plans.
T-Mobile is looking to shake up the mobile industry with today’s move. The company will be switching over to a no contract business model and they will do so with these new Simple Choice Plans. They start at just $50 a month for unlimited talk, text and web. That price includes 500MB of data, unlimited data starts out at $70 for individual plans and $120 for family plans. All of these plans include tethering and you can take advantage of them starting now.
With the exception of the Nexus One, the Nexus line of devices hasn’t been the most powerful devices around. The Nexus 4 had a nostalgic feeling as far as specs goes for a few months when it was released but it will be outclassed real soon once the Galaxy S 4 and HTC One hits the streets. That’s why this latest rumor of the Nexus 5 seems semi-legit.
A new render of what is said to be the Motorola X Phone has been leaked. This image is most likely fake but it does look great. It said to feature a 4.7 inch 720p display with an edge-to-edge design. Other specs include a Snapdragon 800 CPU, 4,000mAh battery and no microSD card slot. The phone is rumored to be water proof, has a Gorilla Glass 3 display and its constructed out of a metal chassis. Motorola is expected to bring this device to Google I/O so we’ll find out for sure if its real there.
Acer has officially announced the availability of the Iconia Tab A500. The 10 inch Honeycomb slate will be releasing at Best Buy. You can preorder the device on the 14th of April for $449.99. With the exception of the barometer and extra storage, it has similar specs to the Motorola Xoom. This model is the 16GB version and it will be available in stores on April 24th. LinkedIn has finally decided to release an official version of their app. It’s available now in the Android Market and is free for everyone to try. This is a must have app for LinkedIn users. For a version 1 app it’s quite polished and bug free so far. Looks like the beta testing paid off, if you’re running Android 2.1 or higher click here to download this app now.
T-Mobile just tweeted a few huge release dates. It looks like the long rumored date of April 20th is going to be a huge day for Magenta. The T-Mobile G2x will be releasing in stores on the 20th for $199 with a new 2 year contract and a $50 mail-in rebate. However, if you can’t wait that long, it will be available online on the 15th. The Sidekick 4G will join it in stores also on the 20th for an unnamed price. There’s no word on the G-Slate’s availability but I expect another tweet to be shot off soon with another April 20th release.
Alltel just announced their new Android lineup. It’s a pretty decent family of mid-range Android devices. A few of them are even powerful enough to be considered borderline high-end phone like the HTC Merge. It will be joined by the Samsung Gem, LG Axis and the Motorola Milestone X. Google may have booted PSX4Droid out of the Android Market but the Playstation emulator still has a huge following. This is one of the best apps available for Android especially if you’re a gamer. Yesterday there was a bunch of unfounded speculations floating around the web that Samsung would be delaying the Galaxy S II. Samsung has come out and debunked this rumor stating that their new Flagship device is still on schedule. We can expect this device to be released sometime this month. Once released, there will be a gradual rollout in different markets at different times. There you have it folks, the false alarm is over. The Galaxy S II is still on track.

Ok we’ll be honest, wearing those red and blue 3D glasses isn’t the coolest way to view 3D content. T-Mobile might be aware of this also because they aren’t going to make us pay for them. When you purchase a 3D capable G-Slate you will also get a free pair of 3D glasses. Since this tablet shares the same screen technology as the LG Optimus 3D, hopefully there’s an OTA in the works that will make this tablet compatible with glasses free 3D technology.
