Acer has officially announced the availability of the Iconia Tab A500. The 10 inch Honeycomb slate will be releasing at Best Buy. You can preorder the device on the 14th of April for $449.99. With the exception of the barometer and extra storage, it has similar specs to the Motorola Xoom. This model is the 16GB version and it will be available in stores on April 24th. LinkedIn has finally decided to release an official version of their app. It’s available now in the Android Market and is free for everyone to try. This is a must have app for LinkedIn users. For a version 1 app it’s quite polished and bug free so far. Looks like the beta testing paid off, if you’re running Android 2.1 or higher click here to download this app now.

T-Mobile just tweeted a few huge release dates. It looks like the long rumored date of April 20th is going to be a huge day for Magenta. The T-Mobile G2x will be releasing in stores on the 20th for $199 with a new 2 year contract and a $50 mail-in rebate. However, if you can’t wait that long, it will be available online on the 15th. The Sidekick 4G will join it in stores also on the 20th for an unnamed price. There’s no word on the G-Slate’s availability but I expect another tweet to be shot off soon with another April 20th release.

Alltel just announced their new Android lineup. It’s a pretty decent family of mid-range Android devices. A few of them are even powerful enough to be considered borderline high-end phone like the HTC Merge. It will be joined by the Samsung Gem, LG Axis and the Motorola Milestone X. Google may have booted PSX4Droid out of the Android Market but the Playstation emulator still has a huge following. This is one of the best apps available for Android especially if you’re a gamer. ZodTTD has since updated his emulator and is offering it for free. I urge all of you to download this app and most importantly, support and donate to the developer. With or without Google’s backing we need to keep talented developers like this interested in Android. Yesterday there was a bunch of unfounded speculations floating around the web that Samsung would be delaying the Galaxy S II. Samsung has come out and debunked this rumor stating that their new Flagship device is still on schedule. We can expect this device to be released sometime this month. Once released, there will be a gradual rollout in different markets at different times. There you have it folks, the false alarm is over. The Galaxy S II is still on track.

Ok we’ll be honest, wearing those red and blue 3D glasses isn’t the coolest way to view 3D content. T-Mobile might be aware of this also because they aren’t going to make us pay for them. When you purchase a 3D capable G-Slate you will also get a free pair of 3D glasses. Since this tablet shares the same screen technology as the LG Optimus 3D, hopefully there’s an OTA in the works that will make this tablet compatible with glasses free 3D technology. It looks like T-Mobile could be getting ready to release the G2x on April 15th. The screenshot above comes from a source that has delivered accurate leaks in the past. The 20th has been the release date that has been tossed around for a few months now. I don’t think anyone would be upset if it releases earlier.
