Muvee is bringing their HD video editing tools called CODEN to Android. You may be familiar with this app if you’re a Symbian on Windows Mobile user. This software adds the ability to edit HD content right from your Android device. It’s been months since we first seen the elusive HTC Merge. This handset was slated for Verizon and it ended up being pushed back a few times. Alltel Wireless has decided to finally release the device. For $125 with a new contract this handset can be yours. Preorders of the device will begin on March 28th. Not to be outdone by the newly announced HTC EVO 3D, T-Mobile is getting a 3D Android handset as well. The LG Optimus #D has just passed the FCC with T-Mobile’s bands in tow.  This device features a dual core 1 GHZ OMAP 4 processor, 4.3 inch glasses free display, HDMI and a custom UI from LG. now we’re just waiting on Verizon to announce a 3D handset then all the major players will have a 3D Android device in their lineup. If you’re in the market for a Tegra 2 powered tablet and are a frugal shopper, Woot.com has you covered. They are selling the Viewsonic gTablet for $280. This is an awesome deal for all the power and ports you get with this tablet. It features a 10.1 inch screen, 16GB internal storage, USB host, microSD card slot, stereo speakers and 512 RAM. Besides having a horrible screen, it’s not bad when holding it directly in front of you, this is probably the best Android tablet for the money. You can check out a hardware comparison between this and Xoom here and you can it in a benchmark dogfight with the Xoom here. This is also the most hacker friendly tablet around, with the exception of the Nook Color. You will not be disappointed in this device.

The HTC EVO 3D might be the highlight of the day. Sprint has just made this device official and it looks great. It features a 4.3″ 960×540 qHD display, 1.2 GHZ processor, dual 5MP cameras and it runs Android 2.3. There’s also an auto stereoscopic 3D glass free display, HDMI, 1GB of RAM and more. Sprint has officially announced the HTC EVO View 4G Tablet. This is the CDMA version of the HTC Flyer and it has Sense UI for tablets as well. It will ship with android 2.4 and will be available this summer. There’s also 32GB of internal storage and voice and data plans start as low as $29 a month. Our friends over at Tmonews have done a little digging at T-Mobile.com product page for the LG G2x and they made an interesting find. It seems as though the G2x will be future proofed and ready for the merger between T-Mobile and AT&T. to be more specific it has  850/900/1800/1900 bands and  AWS Bands IV / 2100 which is T-mobiles current 4G radios. There’s also UMTS / HSPA+ frequencies of 1900 and 850 bands. This means that the G2x will be compatible with both T-Mobile and AT&T’s network out the box. If this is indeed true, moves like this will make the transition easier for everyone involved and it means that if you do get this phone you WILL NOT have to replace it after the merger. The most important announcement that came from this presentation is the multiple models and pricing scheme. Besides having a tablet thinner than the iPad, Samsung is also coming after Apple in pricing as well.
