Motorola and AT&T are currently pushing out the 4.1.83 update for the Atrix 4G. This update fixes the issue users have been experiencing with using their device for their banking needs. Once you receive this update, you need to also install the Atrix Certificate Updater from the Android Market to complete the fix. Have you experienced this issue on your device? ZiiLabs are planning on unveiling two new processors at Computex. And to show off what they can do, they will be implanted into two Honeycomb tablets at the show. The ARM Cortex-A9 ZMS-20 or quad-core ZMS-40 will power two tablets, one is a 7 incher with 1024×600 display and one with a 10 inch 1280×800 display. Both devices also feature 64GB internal storage and 5MP cameras and a few other tasty tidbits you can view below at the end of the press release. The headliner of t=both these devices is the OpenGL ES 2.0 3D graphics producing ARM 9 processors, namely the quad-core version of the ZiiLabs chip. T-Mobile is currently training their staff on how to help G2x users with some of the issues they are having with their phones. The picture above is a screenshot of one of the leaked documents. If you’re having issues with your device, T-mobile might be able to walk through a few solutions that could fix your issue. If that doesn’t work, LG and T-Mobile are aware of most of the software issues and these steps from T-Mobile technical support team will have to do until a software update is pushed out.

EA has the perfect remedy for those of you that will get bored with the extra day off from work. You can waste away with one of their games for Android and they are all on sale for Memorial Day. It might be hard to believe but Google wasn’t the first to offer Android on HDTV’s. People of Lava were one of the first manufacturers to release a televisio9n that runs Android. They have just released the second iteration of their app market and they are calling all Android developers to help make this market a success. It no secret that Android is the hottest selling platform around and it is making a lot of money for a lot of people including some of Androids competitors. Many Android users and WP7 user alike may not recall the patent dispute between Microsoft and HTC. To make a long story short, Microsoft filed and won a lawsuit against HTC and the end result stipulated that the latter was to pay the former an unnamed amount for various different things from HTC.

ASUS promised to introduce a tablet/phone hybrid device at Computex and it looks like they are staying true to their word. Apparently this device will be called the PadFone and just as the name suggests, it’ll likely be a device that could be used for both. I suspect that this device will look similar to a Dell Streak. I wouldn’t be shocked if it came in around 6 inches. We haven’t seen a tablet or phone around that size yet. Also, expect some sort of stylus compatibility with this device as well. The picture you see above is reportedly a prototype for the new Nexus phone from Google. According to the source of this leak, Google is trying to decide between HTC and LG to manufacturer the next Nexus handset and this is one of the test devices. It’s said that this device runs Ice Cream Sandwich and this looks like an HTC design. Keeping with Nexus tradition, T-Mobile will get this device first then Sprint and possibly a few other carriers. It’s too early in the game to speculate on a release date, December has been thrown around a few times. What do you think about this device? It looks pretty good for an early prototype. I just received word from the makers of SwiftKey that they will be releasing a new beta app onto the Android Market today. It is called SwiftKey X and it will look like the traditional SwiftKey but it brings with it a few new features and a boatload of bug fixes. There you have it folks, HTC will no-longer lock down their bootloaders. It looks like all the uproar from around the web has paid off. This is a good move on HTC’s part and hopefully Motorola will follow suit. Here’s the direct quote from HTC’s Facebook page regarding this matter.

‎”There has been overwhelmingly customer feedback that people want access to open bootloaders on HTC phones. I want you to know that we’ve listened. Today, I’m confirming we will no longer be locking the bootloaders on our devices. Thanks for your passion, support and patience,” Peter Chou, CEO of HTC
