You can rest assured knowing that your newly purchased Galaxy Tab 10.1 will ship with Android 3.1. If having the latest Honeycomb OS on your tablet was holding you back from preordering this device, that’s now a thing of the past and you can place your preorder now. SamsungMobile has confirmed on Twitter that the device was originally going to ship with Android 3.0 but not it’ll ship with 3.1 preinstalled. And to add validity to this tweet, the official product page for the device has been updated to reflect the announcement.   My next question is when will Samsung push 3.1 out to the Galaxy Tab 10.1’s they gave out at Google I/O?

This device costs a little bit more than the norm of $199, you will have to pay $249.99 for this 4G LTE device. It looks like all of Verizon’s LTE phones will come at a premium even for new customers. This device features a 1GHZ Snapdragon processor, 4.3 inch screen and it runs Android 2.2. One of the top news sources in the world has finally released their official app for Android. BBC News is available for free now in the Android Market. BBC News brings you all the top breaking news from everywhere in the world. This app is available for Android 1.6 and up device. If you just so happen to be running Android 2.2+, you can enjoy live streaming of the BBC News channel. There are some features that will allow you to share stories with your friends as well. We would’ve loved to see some type of support for tablets, hopefully that’s coming soon.

Near Field Communication in phones can be used to transmit all sorts of data including your banking information. Soon this technology could replace your driver’s license, credit cards and more. BusinessInsider is reporting that Google will unveil its NFC mobile payment system on Thursday May 26th. If this is indeed the case, Google and Android would beat Apple to the punch in offering this new service. If it is announced this week, we could see the chip inside the Nexus S activated and soon owners of the new Android flagship device could purchase virtually anything just by swiping their phone across a payment sensor.
