Best buy may have beaten Sprint to the punch with their HTC EVO 3D preorders but Sprint has just one-upped them in the preorder segment. You can now head into your local Sprint store and preorder both the HTC EVO 3D and HTC EVO View 4G tablet. In case you forgot, the HTC EVO View 4G is Sprints carrier branded version of the HTC Flyer tablet. Both devices can be reserved with a payment of $50, if you’re worried about availability when these devices release, you might want to get moving and reserve your device.

After the lack of multi-touch support for the original X10, a few individuals have been skeptical about this feature being missing from the upcoming Xperia Mini and Mini Pro. And those fears seemed to be confirmed in the comments of a YouTube video of the handsets. A Sony Ericsson rep made a mistake in the comments when they said that these devices will not support multi-touch. Apparently the rep made the mistake of mixing up the original Xperia Mini and Mini Pro up i8n his reply. The next iteration of both devices will indeed support this feature. Mistakes happens, at least this one was cleared p rather quickly.

In the latest edition of the worst kept secret from Motorola, the Droid 3 specs have been confirmed. According to the guys over at TechnoBuffalo , the Droid 3 has been confirmed to have a 4 inch qHD screen. The tipster goes on to say that the device will also have an extra row of number keys on the keyboard, HDMI, 8MP camera and a front facing camera. There’s also a dual-core processor which we’ve seen before in a NenaMark benchmark test. We’re pretty sure that this device will have a 1GHz dual-core processor from Texas Instruments and PowerVR SGX540 GPU. This device is rumored to be released in June for an unnamed price.

And just like that, the Inspire 4G can download and install apps from other sources than just the Android Market. A few users have reported success with install non-Market apps on their Inspire 4G. We’re already aware that AT&T has plans to allow all of their Android devices to install apps from anywhere they chose, but no announcement has been made and apparently there’s no notification popup on the handset alerting the owner of this new feature. To check and see if it has been added to your handset, navigate to Settings > Applications > and check the box that says Unknown Sources. If it’s there then your good to go. We’ll admit that this is quite a long shot but the latest by TabletCommunity suggests that Toshiba’s Honeycomb tablet could be named the Thrive. This discovery was uncovered on Toshiba’s website. If you navigate to their tablet section, you will find that there’s a landing page for the Thrive. Once you click on it, it’s empty. Could this section be populated with Android goodness soon? Who knows at this point, it does stand a good chance of being their Android tablet for the US or it could be something totally different. We’ll find out soon enough.

I guess that announcement from best Buy earlier about the May 22nd release of the HTC Flyer was just tomfoolery. It looks like several people have been able to just stroll into Best Buy and ask for the device and they are allowed to leave with the device. And judging from the internal document leak above, I’d say it’s pretty much confirmed that you can do this s well if you so choose.
