We’re fresh off Samsung announcement of the dual-core Galaxy S2 phone and there are already rumors of Samsung introducing a device powered by another dual-core powerhouse. The Tegra 2 chip will make its way into the Samsung GT-I9103. This device is said to be identical to the Galaxy S2 but it’s powered by the Tegra 2 processor in favor of Samsung’s own, Exynos CPU. The Exynos is a relatively new platform and it will not make its way into the devices in certain regions until Samsung can produce more. It does make sense for Samsung to keep up with their competitions Tegra 2 powered phones with their own. As you can see from the picture above, the phone is being tested. Motorola just announced its launch partners in Europe for the Motorola Xoom. PC World, Dixons and Carphone Warehouse will be getting the Motorola Xoom in Q2. Our friends in Europe will be treated to the silver GSM version of the 10.1 inch tablet. This award was an Announced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, HTC just had a record year in growth and they are responsible for some of the most popular Android handsets. The company is also the leading provider of Windows Phone 7 devices as well. The award was accepted by Peter Chou of HTC. Information regarding this device is pretty scares right now. We do know that this version will be manufactured by Samsung, it features the traditional Sidekick form factor, and it has a front facing camera and 4G. All the pricing rumors regarding the Motorola Xoom has been put to rest. Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha has confirmed that the tablet will be $799 with 3G from Verizon. This tablet will be upgradable to 4G shortly after it’s released. There’s also a Wi-Fi only version that will retail for $600. These prices are more in-line with what we expect the tablet to be. Also, take note that these prices are for the 32GB version, maybe there will be a 16GB version for an even more affordable price. Thanks Mr. Sanjay Jha for putting all these rumored prices to rest.
