One of the first things you do after you purchase a new device is look for ways to protect your investment. Often times you’ll start your search for accessories before you even purchase the device. For many users, the availability of accessories could be a make or break situation for picking up the device. If you’re an owner of the HTC EVO 4G LTE from Sprint, SEIDIO has you covered as far as protecting your device.

The best value will be the SEIDIO Convert package. This package includes virtually everything you would need to get going and to protect your device. It retails for $69.99 and you can pick it up online here. Normally we would think that price is a tad high but you get 5 separate pieces in the package and you can use pretty much any combination of the set.

SCREEN PROTECTOR:

The first part of the deal is a screen protector. Personally I don’t like the feel of screen protectors so I didn’t apply it to my device. It feels like it has an Invisible Shield type of quality and you it can be applied dry. Just make sure you clean the screen on the device before you install the protector it is a little sticky so it might cause a small amount of drag when applied to the device. Often times after a short amount of use that normally works itself out. You can purchase the screen protector for $9.95.

SURFACE CASE:

The main attraction of the set is the Surface case, you can purchase this case as a standalone product for only $29.95 and there are 5 different colors to choose from. This case is constructed from plastic and it allows easy access to every port on the device. It has a slim form factor and it doesn’t add much weight and it feels good in the hand. The inside of the case is padded with a felt type of material and it surely wouldn’t scratch the back of the device. The camera, flash, and speaker are all exposed as well as the kickstand.

CONVERT COMBO:

Finally there’s the Convert system which consists of a plastic skeleton, a rubber skin and a holster. The rubber skin offer excellent shock protection but it does add quite bit of girth to the device. For people who work in an environment where there’s a high risk of dropping the device, this is the system for you. All of the ports are covered by a piece of rubber with a flap you can open to access them. In our test, the flap that covers the camera broke off fairly easy but the case still maintained its protective ability. The holster has a quick release function and it rotates a full 180 degrees. You can place the device in the holster face first as there’s a soft touch material on the inside of the case to protect the display. The Convert combo can be purchased for $49.99 or you can get the Surface Case add on Convert pack for $29.99.

WRAP UP:

Overall we feel this is a great value and if you own an HTC EVO 4G LTE, you might want to pick this package up. It does cost a pretty penny but you get 5 different components that you can use all at once or you can mix and match them to create your own system of protection.
