NTT DoCoMo just announced a new Android device with new screen technology. The Sharp Aquos Phone Zeta SH-02E is a go and it features Sharp’s own IZGO screen tech. this new screen is said to be more translucent then normal LCD panels therefore it should consume less battery life. Sharp didn’t release any exact figures on how much power will be saved but I guess we’ll find that out once the review devices start to head out.
The handset itself features a 4.9 inch display and it ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. There’s also NFC, 16MP camera, LTE and its powered by a 1.5GHZ quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. We’re not sure if this device will make its way onto other markets or when it would receive an update to Jelly Bean.
