A Samsung employee reportedly stated that T-Mobile’s version of the Galaxy S II will feature a 1.5 dual-core APQ8060 processor in favor of Samsungs own Exynos CPU on Twitter. If this is indeed true, a few potential customers will be very disappointed in the arrival of this device. It looks like T-Mobile opted for the CPU change to gain two advantages over the rest of the SGS2 family.
Not only will this device hold the title of possessing the fastest CPU clock speed, it’ll also be capable of the fastest data speeds with the 42mbps HSDP+. Although the device might suffer when it comes to gaming and other features that the Exynos handsets enjoy due to the hardware acceleration, this device might also have the best battery-life of all the SGS2 variants. We’ll be sure to put both devices through the paces in benchmark comparisons soon so keep it locked right here for those results.
