A few days ago we told you about AT&T’s Next upgrade plan to rival T-Mobile’s JUMP! And today it looks like Verizon has jumped onboard with a new phone upgrade plan. Verizon Edge allows users to upgrade their phones every 6 months. When you sign up for the Edge plan, the first months payment is due and the full price of the device will be broken down into payments over a 24 monthly payments. There are no finance charges, upgrade fee or activation fees. You do need to be on one of Verizon’s shared everything plans and you need to pay half of the device in order to move to another device every 6 months. When it’s all said and done, it looks like T-Mobile is in the driver’s seat as far as the best no contract phone upgrade plans goes thus far.
