Reports are coming in that a few customers have contacted Verizon shopping around for a new smartphone and the Verizon reps are all pushing Android devices over the iPhone. In some cases the user went into the location specifically for the iPhone and ended up walking out with an Android device. That’s some good salesmanship in my opinion.
The root of this issue tends to be with VZW pushing its 4G network to new customers. As we all know, the iPhone is still stuck on 3G while there are tons of 4G Android devices in Verizon’s stable. No matter how you cut it, Android is the way to go and we’re glad to hear that the sales reps are moving customers over to the winning side of the mobile space. Any of you guys out there experience this type of service or know of somebody who has?
