Comcast has just released a cool new app for Android. The XFINITY TV Player is now live in the Google Play Store and it’s a free download. If you have a valid Comcast ID, this is a must have app. It has the ability to stream a ton of On-Demand content. Premium channels are also available to stream to your device. It’s also compatible with Android 4.0 and tablet devices as well. I’ve been enjoying this app for the past few hours on both Wi-Fi and my regular phone data and video playback has been flawless. For some odd reason it did ask me for root privileges but other than that, it’s been a pretty enjoyable experience.
